Three Days Sailing All Inclusive

Three days sailing (or more) and All Inclusive for the whole family or a group of friends. Let your skipper guide you to the hidden gems in the Stockholm archipelago! On this tour, departure and return begin and end at 5 pm. Food, sheets and towels are provided for all guests onboard.

We start in the afternoon of the first day at 5 pm and after a review of the boat we set sail to an island nearby. Dinner is eaten while we are underway in the cockpit. We will anchor relatively late on the first evening, around 8-9 pm, and after having found a safe and secluded creek, we will crawl into bed for a good night’s sleep.

The next day we get up at 8 am – or earlier, if you wish – to get a full day’s sailing. We set sail towards the outermost islands, weather permitting.  All of our sailing tours are adapted to the weather and to the requests and experience of our guests. Most likely we will stop in a peaceful and quiet bay for a swim and some lunch. In the evening we anchor in a sheltered natural harbour or marina if you wish to have access to more services. If weather permits, we can make a barbecue on the cliffs and enjoy the view, otherwise we’ll spend a cosy evening in the boat, telling sailing stories by the glow of the kerosene lamp. There is nothing like sailing all day for a good night’s sleep!

On the last day, we will put in as much sailing or as much leisure as you wish before heading back towards Dalarö to arrive at 5 pm. We can set sail early in the morning and drop anchor for lunch, or we can spend the morning walking and swimming before heading straight back. It’s up to you! Whatever you choose, we promise to bring you back to the jetty in Dalarö on time.

About our boats and skippers

When you go sailing with Vind o Vatten you meet skippers who are passionate about what they do, who own the boats they sail and who nourish a close relationship with the Stockholm archipelago. They are well educated and experienced, each one having a Ship’s Officer Class VIII certificate with decades of experience sailing in the archipelago, sail racing and offshore sailing.

You will be sailing a well-equipped and comfortable size boat of 35-36 feet. These boats are fast and fun to sail, without being too lively or difficult to handle. Since we sail our own boats, we know them inside and out and are fully aware of the possibilities and limitations of each vessel. We provide wind- and waterproof clothing on all tours as well as comfortable life vests for each guest.

On our sailing tours with onboard accommodation we can take up to four participants. This is an All Inclusive tour which means that food, sheets, towels, pillows and blankets are all included. The skipper will consult you beforehand when planning the food for the tour. All the meals onboard are prepared together by the participants and skipper alike.

Private sailing course

Private sailing course

Kvällssegling 6

Private sailing course

Do you want to learn how to sail on your own, with family and friends? Do you want to customise your own content? Then a private sailing course is for you!

This course begins by renting a boat with instructor and, in consultation with us, decide on the level with which you want to learn. We can offer sailing courses according to the general Swedish sailing course levels, or completely adapt the course according to your needs.

Who can attend the course?

Even if you have no experience whatsoever, we start from the basics and go from there.  Whichever skills and experience you already have, we can bring you to the next level at your own pace. The age limit for this course is 16 years.

Content of the course

Since all our boats are situated in the Stockholm archipelago, it’s simple and natural to practice archipelago sailing and navigation. Our boats, 35-36 feet, are each owned by our instructors and are safe, well equipped and fast yachts which make all of them fun and easy to sail.

If you wish to tailor your course to a specific goal, here are some examples:

  • Maybe you are a beginner without any experience and would like some guidance in how to take your boat out of the dock for the first time. Perhaps you also need someone to show you what all those lines and equipment are for and how to use them.
  • You might want to learn how to plan a safe route through the archipelago and how to find a natural harbour for the night according to weather forecasts and chart information.
  • Or you might want to focus on how to trim your sails so that you can get the most speed out of your boat.  Maybe you want to learn to hoist and use a spinnaker? Perhaps you want to learn to sail by night, navigating from lighthouses to buoys… Or maybe you just want to train safe manoeuvring in a harbour. It’s completely up to you!

The goal of this private course is that you will have accomplished what you wanted to learn with an experienced instructor by your side coaching you toward your goals,  giving you more encouragement to explore deeper into the art of sailing, thus learning more than you could have ever imagined!

How long does it take to learn how to sail?

It depends on the person – we are all different when it comes to learning – but generally, the first sailing course serves as an introduction to the tools and techniques of sailing. To get a broader understanding of sailing and to be able to safely handle a boat on your own you will need more time behind the tiller in various water and weather conditions. Nevertheless, after our first sailing course, you will be ready to start training on your own!

For a private sailing course for beginners, we recommend two days if you are two people. If you are a group of three or four, we recommend that you book three days. If you wish only a brief introduction to sailing, one day will do!

About our boats and skippers

When you take a course with Vind o Vatten you meet sailing instructors who are passionate about what they do, who instruct on their own boats and who nourish a close relationship with the Stockholm archipelago. You will be sailing a well equipped and comfortable boat sized about 35-36 feet. We provide wind- and waterproof clothing and comfortable life vests.

Our instructors are well educated and experienced – they have Ship’s Officer class VIII and have long experience from archipelago sailing, sail racing and off shore sailing. Since we sail our own boats, we know them well!

Read more about our boats and skippers/instructors!

Accommodation and food

Our sailing courses take place in the daytime, which means that you will need to find accommodation overnight.  We will be happy to help you to find accommodations in Dalarö or in the nearby area, if you do not live in or around Stockholm.

You have the option of bringing your own lunch, or, you can pay an extra SEK 170 and we will arrange your lunch onboard through our local deli who is accustomed to catering to our guests. Coffee/tea and a snack is included for all guests.

Private instructor on your own sailing boat

To bring a private instructor/coach on board your own boat is a brilliant way for you and your family or friends to learn all you need to safely take your boat out on the water. Perhaps you just bought your very first boat and want to go through the basics? We will help you to check the rigging and advise you on how to safely manoeuvre and dock the boat, as well as how to put up the sails and discover the utmost of your boat’s sailing capacities. In short, we’re happy to help you get the most out of your boat!

Having a sail coach onboard can help to raise your competence to the next level. Maybe you need help when it comes to the tricky navigating in the archipelago? Or a course focusing on your spinnaker equipment? Or even a review of the boat prior to your first race?  We have award winning sailing instructors on our team who can come onboard your boat and teach you how to maximise your speed and trim.

We truly enjoy coaching in this personal way and because of the diversity of our team, we have the competence to help you with most any requests or challenges you might have!

Experience the dream by sail and spend a full day exploring the pearls of the Stockholm archipelago. If you are a beginner, your skipper will introduce you to sailing and if you are more experienced, you are encouraged to partake in the sailing as much as you wish.

On a day tour with one of our 35-36 foot boats we will bring you from Dalarö all the way to the outer islands if the weather permits. For an entire day you will experience what cruising looks like in one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world.

There are few better ways to fully experience the Stockholm archipelago than by sailboat. Many of the islands are wild and uninhabited by people, houses, cars or the modern world. Enjoy a shorter tour that lets you try your hand at sailing with time to experience the real archipelago of islets and rocks, yet still have time for other activities, such as kayaking or getting a delicious meal in Dalarö.

We set sail either in the morning or after lunch and are immediately submerged into Stockholms rich archipelago of islands and islets. Dalarö, our point of departure, is very much a part of this unique landscape. During the four hour tour, we will take time to enjoy a snack and a cup of steaming hot coffee and if we’re lucky we might spot a seal or a white-tailed sea eagle!

Your skipper will have you back in time for lunch or dinner so that you can dine in one of Dalarö’s quaint eateries or take a walk along its peaceful streets.
